Frances A. Draut was born on June 26, 1918 in Chicago to Daniel and Isabella (nee McWilliams) O’Connell. She died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Lake Barrington Woods in Barrington.

Frances worked as a nurse in Chicago, then she taught special education at Westbrook School in Mt. Prospect, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cary. Frances was an avid swimmer, reader, attended Bible Study, loved to travel and was nicknamed “Out and About Mrs. Draut”. She loved to spend time with her family and was loved by all.

Frances is survived by her children, Patricia “Patti” Draut-Diggs, Michael “Mike” Draut, Terrence “Terry” (Alejandro Ameijeiras) Draut, Dennis “Denny” (Geraldine) Draut, Danette (Edward) Foreman, Timothy “Tim” Draut, Robert “Bob” Draut, Sheila Draut, Megan (Gary) Kurek and Frances “Fran” Draut; grandchildren Dylan Draut, Colette Draut-Diggs, Colleen Diggs, Garrett Draut, Kevin Draut, Aaron Diggs, Alanna Kurek, Taylor Wilson and Stephanie Molina; great-granchildren, Kyle Draut, Juliette Draut-Griffen and Aidan Gerentine-Diggs; sister-in-law, Lois O’Connell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis “Mike” Draut; her parents; siblings, Eileen (Charles) Byrne, John (Catherine) O’Connell and Daniel O’Connell.

Lucille Ann Michelfelder was born on April 5, 1929 in Caspian, MI to Walter and Justine (nee Pavlik) Piekarski. She passed away peacefully Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Des Plaines, IL

Lucille and her husband Frank were members of card clubs and bowling leagues. They enjoyed traveling the United States in their RV and spent their summers in Manistee, MI on their boat. Lucille loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was loved by all.

Lucille is survived by her children, Tracy (Robert) Marek, Steven Kolbas, Terry (Peter) Sojka and Brad Busakowski; grandchildren, Jennifer Marek, Adam Marek, Nicholas Marek and Emily Sojka; her dear dogs, Suzz, Heidi and Suzie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Michelfelder; former husbands Joe Kolbas and Paul Busakowski; siblings, Florence Busakowski, Dorothy Rae, Agnes Strenke, Veronica Richards and George Piekarski.

Raymond Cholewczynski was born on April 23, 1926 in Chicago to Joseph and Victoria (nee Kruesinska) Cholewcznynski. He died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Mt. Prospect.

Raymond worked as a bank executive for First National Bank of Chicago. He was a member of St. Emily Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect. Raymond loved to spend time with his wife, Mary, and was loved by all.

Raymond is survived by his spouse Mary, whom he married January 15, 1955 in Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

After nearly 10 hard-fought years, Ann Gertrude Hitchcock Fillipp succumbed to the cruel consequences of Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia on February 5, 2017. Born September 4, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, she was 85 years old.

Ann is survived by her husband Jack “Jake” Fillipp, her daughter Laura, her son Bill, her step-son Glen (Norma), her step-grandsons Dan and Jacob (Elizabeth), and her sister Alberta O’Brien – who all believe that they have been changed for the better because they knew Ann.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Hitchcock, husband George, brothers Russell (Evelyn), James (Bernice), Joseph (Anne) and William (Dan).

Richard R. Swanson was born on June 4, 1946 in Chicago to Cecil and Alice (nee Nielsen) Swanson. He died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Swanson worked as a Electrician for Hyre Electric in Chicago for 42 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 134. He served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War. After retiring, he enjoyed spending his winters in Cape Coral, Florida and was an avid fisherman. Richard loved to spend time with his family and was loved by all.

Richard is survived by his spouse of 48 years, Darlene (nee Massa) whom he married August 10, 1968 in Chicago; children, Eric (Christy) Swanson and Heather (Matt) Ballard; grandchildren, Ryan Ballard, Ashley Ballard, Gus Swanson and Eli Swanson; brother, Donald (Mary) Swanson; nieces and nephews, Christine (Gary) Hagerstrom, David Swanson, Jesse Massa and Elizabeth Massa; and brother-in-law, James (Rita) Massa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Martha J. Stoltzner was born on October 24, 1934 in Hume to William and Mary (nee Winn) Epperson. She died Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

Martha was a homemaker until her three children were raised, she re-entered the work force in 1980 and her last position was in the accounting department for Caldwell Banker Relocation in Schaumburg. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Arlington Heights. She was also involved in PTA, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Martha loved to spend time with her family and was loved by all.

Martha is survived by her children, Tara (Glenn) Blum, Jeff (Laurel) Stoltzner and Lynn Lever; grandchildren, Kevin Blum, Kirk Lever and Jillian Lever; sister, Sue (Wayne) Goetz; sister-in-law, Carol Zaval; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard K. Stoltzner; her parents; sister-in-law, Eleanore Stoltzner and brother-in-law Dave Zaval.

David A. Daniels was born on May 17, 1929 in Chicago to David and Lydia (nee Pera) Daniels. He died Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Glenview.

David served in the United States Air Force, in Japan as a dentist. He also had a private dental practice, and later worked for the City of Chicago. He was a member of St. Mary Parish in Buffalo Grove for over 20 years. David loved to spend time with his family, and was loved by all.

David is survived by his daughter, Genevieve (Lenny Aywaz) Daniels; sister, Esther (Theodore) Williams; sister-in-law, Marty Cohen; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife, Genia Mar Yohana; and brother, Douglas Daniels.

Edward J. Burczy

Edward J. Burczy

Edward J. Burczy was born on July 30, 1936 in Knaze, Poland to Jan and Aniela (nee Piwoda) Burczy. He died Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

At age three, Mr. Burczy and his family were evacuated from their family farm by the invading Russian Army in 1939. They were transported to St Petersburg, Russia, where they were released. Edward and his parents spent the next 3 years making their way south through Russia to the Russian-Persian border. When the family reached Persia, Edward’s father enlisted in the British Army, and Edward and his mother were relocated by the British to a Catholic mission in Tanganyika, Africa. Seven years later, when the war ended, the British reunited the family in England. Two years later, the family emigrated to Chicago.

In Chicago, Edward attended Lane Technical High School, where he was captain of the soccer team. After high school, Edward was drafted in to the Army twice, stationed first in Germany, and then at Ft. Riley, Kansas. After returning home from the Army, Edward went to work at American Auto Typist in Chicago, where he met his wife, Erica. After 15 years with the company, he left to found Edward’s Business Service. The couple managed the business until they retired in 1987. After retiring, they enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Edward was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.

Edward is survived by his wife Erica, (nee Kozoris); his daughters, Elizabeth Burczy Howes and Caroline Joanne Burczy; and his grandsons William Edward and Charles Conor Howes.

Elaine E. Weisgerber was born August 7, 1925 in Chicago to Valentine and Lillian (nee Jakes) Thill. She died Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

She was a long-time member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Elaine was a homemaker and a loving mother. She enjoyed biking, reading and loved to travel all over the World. Elaine loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Mary Kay (Dale) Weidner, Karen (Andy) Erbach, Barb (Terry) Tegtmeier, Pat (Rick) Dawson and Nancy (Kelly) Koeller; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine was preceded into death by her husband, Clarence “Dick” Weisgerber, whom she married November 11, 1950; and her parents; and siblings Raymond Thill and Richard Thill.

Mary worked as a customer service clerk for Venture in Schaumburg for many years.

Mary loved to spend time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, and was loved by all.

She is survived by her sons, William A. (Margaret) Sahli, Philip Sahli, and David Sahli; grandchildren, Terri (Dave Vogt) Zambo, Christopher (Elizabeth) Sahli, and Jeremiah Sahli; great-grandchildren, Adrianna Zambo, Charlotte Zambo, Logan Zambo, Tristan Zambo, Samuel Sahli, Joseph Sahli and Andrew Sahli; sister, Joanne (the late Sam) Cipolla, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Bertram “Bert” Sahli; her parents and brothers Joseph and Frank.
