(nee McCaffrey) Harnett. He died Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Chicago.

Kevin worked for Cerner as a Consultant, Principal I. He enjoyed dining out with his
friends and loved spending time with his family. Kevin was loved by all family and
friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Sheila (Thomas) Bonuso, Michael Harnett and William
(Donna) Harnett; nieces and nephews, Patrick (Jennifer) Bonuso, Matthew Bonuso;
Elizabeth Bonuso and Amanda Bonuso; great-niece, Ella Bonuso; and great-nephew,
Franklin Bonuso; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

William H. Shimizu

William H. Shimizu

William H. Shimizu was born on May 22, 1926 in Peerless UT to Tamegoro and Ura (nee Okinishi) Shimizu. He died Friday, April 7, 2017 in Arlington Heights IL.

William served as a Tec 4 in the United States Army Military Intelligence, as a Service Interpreter, during WW II. He graduated from Weber College and the University of Chicago with a Masters of Arts Degree. He was a dedicated educator that included working as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist and Elementary Principal for the Park Forest School District #163 for over 30 years. William was a proud member of the NEA and USGA. He was an avid fan of all Chicago sports teams, and an active golfer, bowler and tennis player into his 90s. William loved to spend time with his family and friends. He touched many lives, made a lasting impression with those he met, and was loved by all.

William is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Michele), Alan (Nesli), Thomas (Kathy) and William (Debby); grandchildren, Marissa (Nedry) Vega Velez, Zackari and Zane Shimizu, Cogan, Ethan, Devin and Riley Shimizu; great-grandchildren, Ryann Overton, Xavier, Gabriel and Remmi-May Sison; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Chiyoko (nee Yamaguchi); his parents, Tamegoro and Ura; brothers, Mike (Shizuye), George (Fusako) and Harry (Vivian); daughter, Julie; and granddaughter, Paula Lynn Sison.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Ogden City Cemetery in Ogden UT on May 20, 2017.

Elizabeth C. (nee Couch) McCann was born on June 29, 1935 in Atlanta, GA to Thomas and Mary (nee Lichtenwalter) Couch. She died Monday, April 10, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

Elizabeth worked as a volunteer art teacher in School District 25. She was a member of Infant Welfare, Arlington Heights Chapter, Past PTA President of Windsor Elementary School and Thomas Junior High in Arlington Heights. An accomplished artist, working in clay sculpture and mixed media painting, she tutored young students in art, and traveled internationally with her husband Mike. Elizabeth loved to spend time with her family and was loved by all.

Elizabeth is survived by her spouse of 56 years, Mike, whom she married February 11, 1961 in Atlanta, GA; her sons, Stuart (Deanna) McCann and Paul McCann; grandsons, Hutson and Lance McCann; siblings, Thomas (Iris) Couch and Jane (Gordon) Jones; nieces, Kathy (Glen) Jaeckel, Elizabeth (Mark) Hill and Jennifer (Jeff) Jeter.

Dorothy K. Bogdas was born on September 20, 1926 in Chicago to Walter and Katherine (nee Roshak). She died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

Dorothy was self-employed as a real estate agent. She loved to travel through Europe with her close friend Meg Stein. Dorothy loved to spend time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and was loved by all.

Dorothy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Stanley Bogdas, Steve Bogdas, Chuck Bogdas, Larry Bogdas, Carol (Bogdas) Small, Jamie Bogdas, Carl Sowa, Paul Sowa, Kathy Sowa and close friend, Meg Stein as well as many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Stanley Bogdas and Gladys Sowa.

Charla K. Donoho was born on July 28, 1941 in Chicago to William and Margit (nee Jensen) Walters. She died Thursday, March 30, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

Charla worked as an elementary teacher for School District #25 in Arlington Heights. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, where she volunteered for various activities including helping with the Funeral Luncheon Ministry. She belonged to Bridge Groups, Book Club, and a member of the Arlington Heights Historical Museum. Charla was an entrepreneur creating and designing gift departments in such Arlington Heights Stores as; The Unicorn, Bowen Ace Hardware, The Pineapple Shop and Harris Gift Shop. The stores that she worked for, entrusted her knowledge and wisdom to order and display inventory for their gift departments. Charla was our angel that loved, helped, nursed, counseled and made all of our lives easier, to her we are eternally grateful.

Charla is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Doug; children, Todd (Colleen) Donoho, Kurt Donoho and Nina (Terry) Gill; grandchildren, Jake Donoho, Zachary Gill, Trent Gill, Katie Donoho and Kylie Gill; sister-in-law, Linda Walters, special nieces, Priscilla Walters and Jessica Walters; special great-niece and nephew Alana and Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, William R. Walters.

Jane Stallone of Ann Arbor, MI, passed away March 30, 2017 at the age of 101. She was born in Calabria, Italy on January 15, 1916 to Luigi and Virginia (nee Greco) Blasi. Jane is survived by her loving sons Bennett Stallone and Louis Stallone, her precious grandchildren Leila and Cailin Stallone, and her dear sister Ida Parise. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years John Stallone, both of her parents, and her sister Agnes Milano.

James A. Spentzos was born on August 21,1938 in Nestani, Greece to Andreas and Konstantina (nee Paziotopoulos) Spentzos. He died peacefully Saturday, March 11, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Jimmy arrived at Ellis Island, NY on May 13, 1955, and went on to own and operate many successful restaurants in the Chicagoland area. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Des Plaines for 50 years. Jimmy loved to spend time with his family and was loved by all.

Jimmy is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Patricia (nee Tsiambas); children, Andy Spentzos, Dina (Dimitri Neckopulos) Spentzos, Giorgia (Alex Dravilas) Spentzos, Christina (Anastasios) Intounas; grandchildren, Kyriako, Dimitri, Panayioti and Alexi; siblings , Chris (Alexandra) Spentzos, Gus (Bessie) Spentzos, Louie (Vana) Spentzos, Pete (Vicky) Spentzos, Vasiliki (Alex) Deligiannis, and Tom Spentzos; many nieces and nephews; and many grand-nieces and nephews.

Jonathon loved listening to music and watching movies. He had a kind heart for his school, teachers, therapists and all of his friends who helped him and loved him. Jonathon loved to spend time with his family, especially his sisters and special “furry” friends Teddy and Louie.

Michael B. Fillichio was born on September 18, 1933 in Chicago to Botty and Marie (nee Pluta) Fillichio. He died Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

Michael served in the United States Navy. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Degree in Accounting. Michael worked as Vice-President Senior Loan Officer in the Commercial Loan Division for Lake Shore National Bank in Chicago for over 25 years. He was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights, and also was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member. Michael’s greatest joy was in spending time with family. He shared his love for Disney, by taking all of his family on several fun trips. While on these trips, he shared his favorite attractions with them, including Pirates of the Caribbean. Michael was also known to be a “connoisseur” of fine cigars.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Theresa (Michael) DeBiase, Lisa Fillichio and Michele (William) Lech; grandchildren, Joey DeBiase, Daniella DeBiase, Alyssa Lech, Olivia Lech and Alaina Lech.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance (nee Lenza); and his parents.
