Carlene V. Kretschmar was born August 13, 1935 in Chicago to Karl and Viola Andersohn.  She died March 14, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

Carlene enjoyed painting, crafting, gardening but most of all spending time with her family.  In celebration of her life, please wear bright colors.

Carlene is survived by her husband Kenneth C. Kretschmar; her children Keith (Patty) Kretschmar, Lynn (John) Hagan, John Kretschmar and Scott (Melanee) Kretschmar; her grandchildren Matthew, Kalie, Brittany, Michael, Kelly, Ryan, Tyler and Kain; her sister Anita (late George) Toblesky.

Carlene is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.  Funeral service 11:00 AM, Monday, March 20, 2017 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights.  Interment will be at Ridgewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, 501st St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.  Funeral information and condolences or (847) 253-0168.
