Lorraine Stompor Lyons was born on December 9, 1918 in Chicago, the proud daughter of Polish immigrants John and Bernice (nee Maday) Stompor. She died Friday, February 10, 2017 in Wheeling.

Lorraine worked as a bank vault manager for First National Bank of Skokie 1960-1970, and a clerk for the Skokie Police Department from 1970-1984.  She was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Skokie for over 40 years, where she was the past president of the Naim Club.  Lorraine loved to play Bridge and was an avid poet. She loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Antoinette “Toni” (Robert) Runtz, Mark (Kate Ryan) Lyons and Mary (Larry Daane) Lyons; grandchildren, Amy (John) Guignon, Rebecca (Bud) Daleiden, Cara (Kurt) Winter, Brendan Lyons-Keefe, Patrick Lyons, Deirdre Lyons-Keefe, and Megan Lyons; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Redmond; her parents; grandson, Redmond Emmett Lyons-Keefe; siblings, Anna Ozimek, Stella Scislek, Edward Stompor, Stanley Stompor, Bernice Ramian, Harriet Humes, Joseph Stompor, and Irene Grazulis.

Visitation Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Addolorata Villa, 555 McHenry Road, Wheeling, IL  60090.  Visitation Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Mass at Addolorata Villa. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
